Citrusy Helda Beans

Helda beans are a beautiful flat bean that are close to the uk runner beans we grow. These have come into season a little before the UK crop of beans and so we are delighted to bring this zesty, citrusy recipe to you for a wonderful extra to your summer bbq or as a side to your creamy pasta or fish dish.

STEP 1: Cook the beans in salted water, boiling them for 4 minutes. Check they are just tender and drain.

STEP 2: Melt the butter in a pan making sure it doesn’t catch, add half a limes zest and juice and cook into the butter for a minute or two.

STEP 3: Add the Parsley and beans and season with salt and pepper to your taste.

STEP 4: Serve and enjoy immediately!
